Arc-Wave – Model Spotlight

The Arc-Wave OverKnight is rumored to be born from abandoned military schematics that predate the OverNet, originally referred to as Project Ranger. This battlefield gunslinger proved too intelligent, too tactical for its original creators, and it was scrapped. Somehow, those plans made their way into CyberMask’s possession.

Series: Genesis

Archetype: Gunner

Arc-Wave model gives your OverKnight access to versatile Blasts and a layered defense. This set has a Blast that disrupts your opponent’s hand and the ability to make each Blast stronger than the last. With a passive that mirrors your defense at the start of the round and another that converts successful damage into shields, this set is perfect for players who want to pressure the opponent without leaving themselves exposed.

Part Breakdown

Head – Steady Aim [Active]

  • Burst Boost the next Blast.
  • Energy cost: 0

“Steady Aim is a versatile tool that Arc-Wave can use to enhance other powerful Blasts. Combined with any Blast card, it can help ensure Protective Grid is triggered, or when paired with Disarming Blast, it guarantees the effect activates, disrupting the opponent’s hand.”

Arms – Disarming Blast [Active]

  • Disarming Blast 5
  • Overclock cost: 2

Disarming Blast is an excellent ability for stripping the opponent’s resources, forcing them to fully block the attack or lose a random card. While its base damage is lower than other Blasts, it only needs a small bonus, for example, from Steady Aim or Chained Blasts, to become a lethal weapon against the opponent’s hand.

Chest – Chained Blasts [Active]

  • Burst After activation, when you play a Blast, +2 damage to other Blasts everywhere until the end of the round. When you Blast while you have Shield, Overclock.
  • Overclock cost: 2

“Chained Blasts turns Arc-Wave model into a formidable opponent. The best move is to activate it at the start of the round and unleash a barrage of Blasts against the opponent, each attack stronger than the last, building up to a final shot that finishes them off.”

Legs- Echoing Shield [Passive]

  • Start the round with the same amount of Shield as the first Shield you execute each round.
  • Uses per round: 1

Echoing Shield provides an efficient and consistent way to gain Shield each round. Having this resource reliably available makes components that use Shield more effective, allowing you to get more value from them without losing tempo.

Back – Protective Grid [Passive]

  • When you damage with a Blast, Shield 3.
  • Uses per round: 2

Protective Grid gives Arc-Wave effective defensive tools by granting a solid amount of Shield when dealing damage. Activating this ability is valuable not only because it helps prevent damage, but also because it increases the chances of triggering the Overclock condition, attacking with a Blast while having Shield.

Model Insights

The most important piece in the Arc-Wave’s design is its Chest part. I wanted to create the fantasy of a gunslinger unleashing a carefully aimed sequence of shots at the opponent — each one targeting a vital point and leaving them worn down. To ensure Arc-Wave can survive long enough to set this up, I designed two defensive abilities that make Shield use more efficient, opening up options to convert it into energy or channel it into even more offensive power. Unlocking Arc-Wave’s full potential takes more strategy than other models, but the payoff of landing that final, devastating Blast is absolutely worth it.

Disrupt hands. Chain damage. Shield on impact.

Arc-Wave is what happens when precision meets pressure. Designed for players who love to outthink and outgun, Arc-Wave brings a tactical shooter fantasy to the Overknights arena — a gunslinger model that rewards planning, timing, and perfectly sequenced shots. Each Blast hits harder than the last, turning every round into a high-stakes chess match with bullets. From your first poke to your final finisher, Arc-Wave is a masterclass in calculated aggression.

This is pressure with precision.

COMBO 1 – GUARDING BLAST TO OVERCLOCK

Why not Hit two birds with one stone? Use Guard (When you Hit the opponent, Shield 3.) on your Blast to attack your opponent and potentially Shield at once. Then, if you are able to maintain that Shield until your next round, you can Blast again to earn an Overclock without, without needing to spend an action by using a Shield card. Using this strategy, you can gather all the Overclock you need to unleash the powerful your Chained Blasts, paired with a timely Disarming Blast.

COMBO 2 – GIGA SHIELD + ECHOING SHIELD

It’s better to be safe than sorry! Your Echoing Shield will allow you to begin the next round with the same amount of the first Shield action you used the past round, so use your biggest Shield card as soon as possible to guarantee protection in both rounds. Your new Shield will also allow you other things, like earning Overclock, and using a Bashing Blast (When Blasting, spend up to 3 Shield and add amount to the magnitude.)

Final Thoughts

Don’t let the brains fool you — Arc-Wave’s not soft. With layered defense tools, automatic shielding, and Overclock synergies, you’re not just dishing damage — you’re staying alive long enough to finish the job in style.

Arc-Wave doesn’t just fire — it calculates, adapts, and controls.

It’s the perfect model for players who love playing smart, striking hard, and staying one step ahead. With layered synergies, self-charging shields, and disruptive Blasts that break the opponent’s rhythm, Arc-Wave turns every round into a carefully crafted assault. And once you hit that Chained Blasts power spike? It’s over – and yet it’s only getting started.

Arc-Wave is just one piece of a much bigger arsenal. What’s coming next will change the game. Literally.
